Laboratory Safety Training – Fundamentals for Safe Laboratory Work
This course provides the fundamental safety requirements for working in the laboratory.
Participation in this safety training course is mandatory and must be completed successfully before any independent laboratory work may be carried out.
The course consists of 14 consecutive modules. Each module includes:
- an instructional video,
- and a multiple-choice quiz to assess understanding of the content.
A module is considered completed when at least 75% of the quiz questions are answered correctly. The next module will only be unlocked after successful completion of the previous module.
After successful completion of all modules, a certificate of completion will be generated automatically.

- • M7a: Building- and Facility-Specific Emergency Information
- • M8: Waste Disposal and Environmental Protection
- • M9: Work in Genetic Engineering Facilities
- • M9a: Genetic Engineering Facility–Specific Information
- • M10: EU Quarantine Pests and Containment Measures
- • M10a: EU Quarantine Pest Facility–Specific Information
Participation and quiz results are documented within the system.
