The seminar, "The Science of Wellbeing," led by Prof. Dr. Lea Cassar from the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Management Information Systems, is designed to teach students what the economic and psychological sciences reveal about what makes individuals—and, in turn, society—happy. By drawing from empirical findings from both economics and psychology, this course is highly evidence-based and practice-oriented. In addition, parts of the seminar are led by Prof. Dr. Regina H. Mulder, in which the focus will be on applying concepts from educational science (erziehungswissenschaftliche Perspektive) to foster happiness and wellbeing in organizational settings and work.
The task includes a written assignment—a Change Management Plan—where students will explore strategies for fostering wellbeing in organisations. Sessions with Prof. Mulder will provide opportunities to discuss and apply these ideas in smaller groups.
The first information session with Prof. Mulder takes place in the initial week on Tuesday, October 15th, at 11 am in PT 2.0.12, right before the session with Prof. Cassar starting at 12 am.
