In this seminar, we will present and discuss experimentally relevant nanostructures and examples for their (commercial) applications. The seminar deepens topics discussed in the lecture Physics of Nanostructures.
The format is based on 20-30 min. presentations by the participants, enriched by a few lab visits and hands-on sessions.
Our focus lies on the experimental observation and control of quantum effects resulting from spatial confinement of particles. Topics for your presentations range from the fabrication of nanostructures, to lasers, displays, transistors and emerging technologies such as quantum computing.
First session and assignment of the presentation topics: 19.10.23, 13:15, PHY 5.0.20.
The registration passcode for this GRIPS course will be given in the lecture Physics of Nanostructures (Tue, 17.10.23, 10:15, PHY 5.0.20) and in the first session of this seminar: Thu 19.10.23, 13:15, PHY 5.0.20.
