The purpose of this course is to understand the fundamental concepts and methods for spectroscopy with scanning probe microscopy. An emphasis will be placed on STM and AFM. Both experimental and theoretical aspects will be discussed.
Acquiring a fundamental knowledge of concepts and characteristics of surfaces. In addition, this module covers methods of preparing surfaces and growing layers. Experimental research methods will be discussed.
