This cousre aims to help students, who took part in Electroanalytical Chemistry lecture, to gain better understanding in the parameters that affect electrochemical behaviors at an electrode. Moreover, they will learn how to experimentally determine/calculate kinetic parameters, which are of importance for characterization of the interested system. Finally, this practical cousre allows students to be familiar with instrumentation used for electrochemical experiments.
Course description:
The fundamental background of electroanalytical methods as well as their suitability for specific analysis will be briefly reviewed focusing on critical factors governing analytical performance in electrochemical experiments. The course will discuss electroanalytical chemistry as a powerful tool for in situ analysis including miniaturization of the systems, advancements afforded by nanotechnology, and recent research and development of this field.
