Module: PSY-M 03.1
The course will introduce the striking functional MRI field for exploring and mapping the human brain through the BOLD contrast. An introduction of a MRI scanner, the MR signal generation and the BOLD contrast (from the neuronal to the hemodynamic activity) will be presented. Additionally, a detailed description of the different fMRI designs will be shown. At the end of the course a practical fMRI experiment (involving the study of the human cognitive arithmetic) at the brand new Siemens MAGNETOM PRISMA 3T scanner will be performed. Eventually, the SPM12 package will be introduced in order to show how to analyse the measured functional data.
