The goal of homogenization theory is to rigorously find and justify effective mathematical models
that capture the limiting behavior of complex systems with fine-scale heterogeneity. Examples are
the flow of fluids through porous media and the heat conductivity of composite materials.

Planned contents include:

• Asymptotic Expansion 
• Two-scale convergence/Periodic unfolding 
• Perforated domains: Extension operators
• Flow through porous and/or fractured media: Dary's law and Brinkmann equation
• Gamma-convergence 
• Shape optimization/inverse homogenization 
• Monotone operators.

Ort und Zeit: Vorlesung Dienstag 8:25-10:00 Uhr im Raum M 101, Übung Donnerstag 12:15-13:45 Uhr im Raum  PHY 5.0.20

Inhalt: In der Vorlesung wiederholen und vertiefen wir Aussagen und Methoden aus der Schulgeometrie.

Übungsblätter: Die Übungsblätter werden Mittwochs auf GRIPS hochgeladen und in der Woche darauf in der Übung
gemeinsam gelöst. Lösungsabgaben sind nicht notwendig.
