This course focuses on the theoretical foundations of statistical
inference and discusses the core topcis estimation and hypothesis
testing. In the context of estimation topics such as exponential
families, maximum likelihood, Fisher information and Bayesian approaches
will be discussed. With respect to hypothesis testing core topics
include confidence and credible intervals, likelihood-ratio tests and
mutliple testing.
