Course will cover modern topics in molecular inorganic chemistry, with a focus on the design of complexes for small molecule chemistry and the relationship between electronic structure and reactivity.
Topics will include O2 and N2 activation; bimetallic complexes; proton-coupled electron transfer; use of MO theory and spectroscopic methods to determine electronic structures of compounds.
The first lecture will take place on Thursday October 20th at 10:15.
Course covering the various roles of metals in biological systems.
